Dominique Thatcher
Dominique is a registered Psychologist with a varied background across child protection, forensic and educational settings. She completed her Bachelor of Psychology at Curtin in 2016 and her Postgraduate training through the Psychology Board of Australia’s 4+2 internship program.
Dominique has lived and worked in the Murchison District as a child protection worker and Specialist Child Interviewer. She returned to Perth, where she provided interventions to families demonstrating a high level of complexity. She worked alongside them to develop skills to enhance their safety and life skills. Dominique has also worked in a prison, conducting interviews with sentenced prisoners and recommending treatment programs with the overall objective to reduce reoffending in the community. Dominique’s varied background has assisted in developing proficient experience in trauma behaviour, a range of mental health issues, disability, diverse socio-economic backgrounds and ethnicities.
Dominique currently works full time as a school psychologist with high school-aged children. She is passionate about providing holistic care to promote, restore and enhance the wellbeing of the children and families. Dominique conducts psycho-educational assessments at Mini Minds and enjoys supporting children to identify and develop their innate strengths.
