Regulate & Thrive: A practical 5-week program to support Emotional Wellbeing 🌟


A 5-Session Program for young people aged 12-17 years

Run by an experienced Occupational Therapist ✨


Does your young person struggle with managing emotions, distress, or self-regulation? This engaging and practical program is designed to help young people aged 12-17 years develop essential skills for emotional awareness, resilience, and wellbeing in a supportive and interactive environment.


What’s Included?
  • Five one-hour interactive group sessions

  • Practical tools to manage distress, emotions, and negative thinking

  • Hands-on activities, mindfulness exercises, and self-reflection

  • A safe, supportive space to connect, learn about yourself and grow

  • Parent Information: including key concepts to reflect on at home during the week and support services available for carers in the community.


🌟 Session 1: "Getting to Know YOU!"

  • Introduction to the group and creating a safe space for sharing

  • Body awareness & stress signals


🌟 Session 2: "Noticing and Connecting"

  • Connecting thoughts, feelings, and behaviors (CBT principles)

  • Noticing what feels calming and alerting in the environment

  • Using sensory strategies to manage distress


💡 Session 3: "Rethinking Thoughts, Feelings and Behaviours"

  • Recognising and challenging unhelpful thinking patterns

  • Exploring mindfulness


💡 Session 4: "Stress & Anxiety Management"

  • Building a personalised emotional first aid kit


🌱 Session 5: "The Game Plan – Thriving Through Self-Regulation"

  • Starting to plan for the future

  • Recognising what helps you feel well

  • Identifying personal triggers & early warning signs

  • Developing a go-to plan for managing emotions

  • Final reflection activity & takeaway strategies
